Solvent Collection Equipment for Safe Industrial Handling

A Burt Process Equipment solvent collection system is a fully customized solution for solvent fluid handling and transfer applications. They are designed by our experienced engineers to meet process needs and requirements for hazardous location Class I Division 1 or Division 2 ratings. Our 50 years of engineering expertise in fluid handling translates into high-performance custom equipment for the collection and transfer of solvents and flammable liquids.

Solvent Cabinet for Fluid Handling

Inside each custom-designed solvent waste collection cabinet is a tank or drum equipped with a solvent transfer pump or waste lift station for the removal of unwanted solvent waste. Our solvent storage cabinet provides secondary containment and air-operated pumps to transfer the solution. Solvent levels are monitored by direct level measurement or by using load cells, with various liquid level transmitters in the tank. Burt Process Equipment’s solvent lift station uses intrinsically safe or explosion-proof controls. This makes our solvent cabinets the best choice for conforming to hazardous location protocols.

Solvent Collection System Construction

Every one of our solvent lift station assemblies is made with welded stainless-steel interconnecting piping and exterior-mounted electrical junction boxes for all wiring terminations. For collection tanks, there is an external vent connection. Factory plumbing includes appropriate vent/flame arrester(s) for the internal manifold, and the cabinet’s exterior has the required NFPA placard for fire hazards. Other features or options in our customizable solvent storage cabinet include double-contained tanks with leak detection, pulsation dampeners and vibration control, nitrogen blanketing, flame arrestors, level transmitters, and redundant high-level alarms.

Solvent Waste Lift Station Materials and Pump Options

Our solvent lift stations are available in stainless steel and carbon steel, with various configurations and options for a custom system that meets your hazardous location requirements. Standard features include a sealed cabinet assembly with integral simplex, duplex, or triplex pump lift stations that collect and transfer solvents and flammable wastes, meeting solvent collection and transfer requirements for most any industry.
