Custom Engineered for a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facility

Industry

Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

Challenge

Deliver a fully customized, high-integrity waste system handling engineered to exceed operational, safety, and compliance standards and function in extreme temperatures

Solution

Burt Process engineered a turnkey potent waste system using high-end materials, smart controls, and modular skids for easy installation and long-term adaptability

Overview

A leading pharmaceutical manufacturing plant required a highly specialized and durable solution for the safe storage and controlled transfer of potent chemical waste generated during production. This includes the system needed to withstand harsh chemical environments, operate in subzero temperatures, interface with site-wide process controls, and offer precise monitoring and fluid handling. OEB (Occupational Exposure Band) waste material, while optimized for operator safety as well as meets all safety requirements. Burt Process delivered a fully customized, high-integrity waste system handling engineered to exceed operational, safety, and compliance standards.

Challenges

  • Safely manage and store high-potency liquid waste with corrosive characteristics
  • Operate reliably in extreme cold conditions (-15°F) with continuous thermal control
  •  Provide redundant safety instrumentation, precise metering, and complete system modularization
  • Allow automated, sanitary transfer of waste to offsite trucks without crosscontamination or operator exposure
  • Seamlessly integrate with the facility’s automation platform for real-time control and alarms
  • Monitoring safety of operations and align all components
