Automated waste neutralization systems use pH adjustment chemicals to process 2-12 pH range liquids with various flow rates. Burt Process has both continuous and batch treatment options, including designs for difficult-to-adjust waste streams.

Our BPN units are custom-designed to meet your company’s requirements. Available options include batch neutralization, single and multi-stage neutralization, and HMI/BMS/SCADA interface. We offer pH and flow monitoring as well as effluent recording. If gravity flow is not possible, we can design the equipment to use influent and effluent pump lift stations.

Every system is completely assembled and thoroughly tested before it is shipped. Our systems can be built with batch or continuous flow configurations for a wide range of flow conditions, to tailor the system to your organization’s needs.

Features

  • Durable Treatment Tank: Constructed from fusion-welded natural polypropylene and equipped with premium gear drive mixers for long-lasting, reliable performance.
  • Reagent System: Includes dual 70 gal or 120 gal HDPE tanks with BPE level controls and precision dosing pumps to ensure accurate chemical delivery.
  • U-Trap & Monitoring Components: Wet well and instrumentation are engineered to meet or exceed local regulatory compliance requirements, supporting safe and effective wastewater treatment.
  • Agitation System: Properly sized 316 SS wetted mixers, mixer rails, and AVS baffles are included to ensure thorough and reliable tank agitation.
  • Reagent Piping: Double-contained piping is provided to prevent leaks during operation and to meet EH&S standards.
  • Skid-Mounted Design: BPN systems are mounted on epoxy-coated HRS skids, allowing for fully pre-wired and pre-plumbed system delivery.

 

Regulatory Compliance
  • Options for effluent U-traps in CPVC, PVC, & Polypropylene are available.
  • Effluent monitoring options for both pH and flow in U-traps.
  • Single pen, dual pen, or digital chart recorders can be integrated with effluent monitoring U-traps to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Actuated valves can be added to effluent discharge U-traps to ensure that out-of-spec waste is not discharged.

 

Startup and Training:
  • On-site support with BPE service technicians includes:
    • System startup and operational verification to ensure functionality
    • Training for client personnel on system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Field Services: Installation is guided by detailed engineering documentation provided by BPE. Field service installations can also be performed by BPE technicians upon request.

  • Options for Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLC-controlled systems are available, ensuring smooth deployment into existing facility controls environments.
  • Options to add BAS communication modules are available.
  • BPN system panels include complete integration with all system instrumentation, such as pH & flow instrumentation.
  • System control panels are pre-mounted & pre-wired to the system skid & skid components.

 

Complete Solutions from Design to Project Completion
  • Complete engineering package with P&IDs, electrical ladder logic diagrams, O&M manuals, component indices, CAD layout drawings, and 3D modeling.
  • Systems are rigorously tested at BPE’s facility to ensure compliance with client specifications and operational standards. Clients have the option to visit factory to witness FAT testing.
  • Options for maintenance plans and spare parts for continued project success.
